LIQUID PENETRANT INSPECTION

Liquid penetrant inspections performed at Hammitt & Associates is done on both a high and low volume basis on automotive and aircraft components.

Hammitt & associates uses only type IV water washable fluorescent penetrant in our in – house system. The type IV penetrant provides an excellent Sensitivity to small, tight surface defects not readily detected with lower grade penetrants.

ULTRASONIC INSPECTION

Hammitt & Associates also provides both contact and immersion ultrasonic inspection services. All inspections using the ultrasonic contact method are performed on either a low or high volume basis depending upon customer requirements. Immersion Testing is normally performed on smaller low volume parts.

FIELD SERVICES

Magnetic particle, ultrasonic and liquid penetrant inspections are all performed on-site as well as in-house.
